Position

As a Linux/AIX/Container Jr Lead, you will be responsible for architecting and managing Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE) for critical infrastructure. Your role will involve designing and managing AIX servers in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments. You will automate OS deployments, patching, and configuration using Ansible and SaltStack, and integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools to ensure compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing performance bottlenecks and providing permanent fixes through root cause analysis of Linux/AIX systems.
  • Collaborating on disaster recovery readiness and participating in high-availability testing.
  • Providing technical support in infrastructure services, responding to issues and assisting in tasks.
  • Contributing to the implementation of infrastructure projects and assignments.
  • Supporting the development of infrastructure documentation, including incident logs and configuration records.
  • Applying technical knowledge to address infrastructure-related challenges and following established best practices and standards in service delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning.
  • Expertise in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, and VIO servers.
  • Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Awareness of CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration.
  • Proficiency in security compliance standards and OS-level auditing.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Experience in setting up Linux centralized management tools (RedHat Satellite/SUSE Manager) and patch management.
  • Good knowledge of hybrid IT environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and proficiency in data analysis and technical knowledge.
  • A continuous learner who stays informed about industry knowledge and technology.

Other Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Linux/AIX Certifications.
