Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing performance bottlenecks and providing permanent fixes through root cause analysis of Linux/AIX systems.
- Collaborating on disaster recovery readiness and participating in high-availability testing.
- Providing technical support in infrastructure services, responding to issues and assisting in tasks.
- Contributing to the implementation of infrastructure projects and assignments.
- Supporting the development of infrastructure documentation, including incident logs and configuration records.
- Applying technical knowledge to address infrastructure-related challenges and following established best practices and standards in service delivery.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning.
- Expertise in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, and VIO servers.
- Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure.
- Awareness of CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration.
- Proficiency in security compliance standards and OS-level auditing.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Experience in setting up Linux centralized management tools (RedHat Satellite/SUSE Manager) and patch management.
- Good knowledge of hybrid IT environments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and proficiency in data analysis and technical knowledge.
- A continuous learner who stays informed about industry knowledge and technology.
Other Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications, such as Linux/AIX Certifications.
