Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and maintain the long-term roadmap, architectural strategy, and modernization initiatives for the Linux environment.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing Linux Engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish governance, standards, and best practices for system configuration, patching, security hardening, and documentation.

Operational Excellence and Infrastructure Management:
- Lead the support, administration, and maintenance of all Linux servers.
- Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure components in virtualized and on-premises Linux environments.
- Manage the installation and troubleshooting of Linux systems in hybrid environments.

Architecture and Engineering:
- Manage the architectural design and operational framework for the enterprise Linux environment.
- Develop and maintain system-level tools, utilities, and automations using shell scripting (Bash) and Python.
- Drive adoption of automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Performance, Reliability, and Testing:
- Analyze Linux systems, conduct performance benchmarking, and ensure compliance with performance and security expectations.
- Ensure environments supporting trading systems meet low-latency and high-availability requirements.

Troubleshooting, Incident Management, and Support:
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of failures, incidents, and critical alerts across the Linux server estate.
- Provide high-quality support to internal partners with a focus on resilience and operational excellence.

Scripting, Automation, and Tools:
- Write, maintain, and troubleshoot shell scripts and Python scripts for automation and system efficiency.
