What You’ll Do
You’ll help deliver smooth, dynamic events of every kind: live, virtual, hybrid, in-office, and offsite across Dubai, the GCC, wider MENA, and beyond. Get ready to lead and support event setup, rehearsals, show operation, strike, and post-event closeout while taking charge of your assigned technical areas. You’ll keep the Dubai office’s townhall and event spaces running, testing, maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting, and working with outside vendors to keep everything ready to go.

As the go-to event operations lead on site in the region, you’ll stay closely connected with the Global Event Operations team and technical crews in London, New York, California, and other locations, all while communicating clearly and professionally. You’ll operate virtual event platforms and manage technical run-of-show requirements so everything runs right the first time.

When it comes to hands-on operations, you’ll:

  • Take the lead on technical operations for events using:
    • Virtual Event Platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, Streamshark)
    • Presentation technologies (Google Slides, Powerpoint, Keynote)
    • Live video source switching (pre-recorded and live presenters)
    • PTZ camera operation
    • Onboarding and managing remote presenter endpoints
    • Live audio mixing and signal routing (analog and digital)
    • Troubleshooting audio, video, and streaming issues
    • Setting up redundancy and backup systems as per contingency protocols
    • Quality controlling creative assets before go-live
    • Organizing and configuring presentations and creative content
  • Handle event documentation, using a centralized ticketing system (Jira) to capture event details, customer communications, and assets. Creating user guides and documentation for AV systems will be part of your routine. You are also involved in supporting emerging event technologies, including accessibility tools, live captioning, and livestreaming, and helping manage freelance technicians and the flex workforce for events, venue operations, and projects. You’ll interpret technical briefs, run-of-show documents, floor plans, signal flows, schedules, and proposals as events come together.
  • Provide excellent customer service by coordinating and validating VIP presenters for every event. You’ll also proactively communicate with cross-functional partners, making sure technical and creative expectations are managed from the start.
  • From additional duties to jumping in where needed, you’re comfortable pitching in to make every event memorable. Please note: this job description is not an exhaustive list and responsibilities may change or expand as business needs evolve.

What You Bring
You are an effective communicator who enjoys teaming up with colleagues and speaking confidently with internal and external executives. You write clearly and connect well with others. You are self-motivated and happily take full ownership of your technical domains. Flexibility comes naturally, and you adjust your crew role to fit each event’s needs.

You must be able to speak, read, and write in English and be comfortable having everyday conversations in Arabic. You’ll stand out if you’re fluent in Arabic and comfortable communicating with regional stakeholders and event participants. English proficiency is required for coordinating with global teams.
