As a Logistics Specialist, you'll be integral in maintaining data center inventory, monitoring shipments, and managing ongoing demand to support build and repair activities. This hands-on role involves collaboration with a diverse team, including software and hardware engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers, all dedicated to providing superior safety and security standards while ensuring our customers have continual access to their necessary resources.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of operations while adhering to strict safety standards and maintaining very high quality.
  • Operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker) as needed.
  • Partner with the Logistics Manager to create plans that optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle, including tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
  • Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts requests quickly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Support the operational environment which functions 24/7.

A Day in the Life
This position requires in-person work at a site location. You will assist in scheduling deliveries and pick-ups, adhering to safety and security protocols, and loading/unloading shipments while working around moving mechanical parts. The role involves standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, with manual handling and lifting of objects as necessary, adhering to weight limits. Daily activities include using hands and fingers to handle materials, reaching, and performing various physical tasks while ensuring safety and balance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions, and reverse logistics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices.
