Logistics Specialist

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to innovation. We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Logistics Specialists review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained across all locations to support build and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, and maintain very high quality.
• Create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
• Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
• Interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
• Support an environment that operates 24/7, assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups, and adhere to safety and security protocols for the site.

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to work on powered equipment (i.e. forklift or cherry picker).
• Ability to work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
• Manual handling and lifting of objects may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Work Conditions

• Position works in-person at a site location.
• Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
