About the Role
In this position, you will patrol all areas of the property to secure rooms, assist guests with room access, and conduct emergency response drills. Your responsibilities will include performing daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audits. You will monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems, as well as authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas. In emergency situations, you will assist guests and employees, respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required, gather information, and complete reports. Maintaining confidentiality of reports/documents and releasing information to authorized individuals will also be a key part of your duties.

Additionally, you will defuse disturbances in accordance with company policies and procedures, resolve safety hazard situations, and handle interruptions and complaints. You will escort unwelcome persons from the property and ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws, while calling for assistance using proper code responses and providing the appropriate paperwork to employees.
As an integral part of our team, you will assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees. You will serve as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Following all company policies and procedures, you will report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, complete safety training and certifications, and ensure that your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
You are expected to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, proactively address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communication is key, so you will speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare, and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting team goals, and listening to the concerns of other employees will also be essential. Upholding quality expectations and standards is critical.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None required; SIRA license holder preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Read and visually verify information in various formats (e.g., small print).
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
- Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog).
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire shifts.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance; objects weighted more than 75 pounds with assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces; over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces; and up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
