Maintenance and Support Engineer

The jobholder is responsible for performing maintenance and support activities related to the BEAM9 system, ensuring that the partner’s staff can independently manage hardware and software operations. Key responsibilities include supporting the Customer’s IT Administration and Production teams for daily operations, training activities, and continuous improvement efforts. The role involves maintaining customer relationships through active participation in meetings, addressing customer expectations, and providing operational updates. Furthermore, the job entails effective communication and reporting, including regular activity reviews, KPI maintenance, and documentation of best practices.

Requirements:

• Must Have

  • Education: Master’s degree in computer science
  • Proven experience in maintenance and support programs
  • Strong communication skills for multicultural environments
  • Proficiency in Windows environments (Active Directory, DNS, DFS)
  • Knowledge of Linux (CentOS)
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere virtualization suite

• Additional Skills

  • Experience with geospatial software (IMINT/GEOINT)
  • IT hardware and storage management
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, firewall, routing)
  • Database knowledge (Postgres, MySQL) is a plus
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Ability to learn complex concepts quickly
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
