What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for mechanical systems, focusing on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Drive reliability improvement by analyzing downtime, MTBF, and MTTR, identifying mechanical failure modes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead structured root cause analysis for mechanical failures across cam-controlled systems, injection molding equipment, and automated production lines to eliminate recurring issues.
- Define and optimize maintenance plans and standards, including inspection routines, lubrication strategies, and wear part replacement intervals for mechanical components.
- Own the mechanical performance of critical advanced automated manufacturing equipment, including cam-controlled forming and assembly machines and plastic injection molding machines.
- Collaborate with production, toolmaking, and engineering teams to enhance machine stability, consistency, and overall process performance.
- Implement predictive maintenance approaches using equipment condition data and failure trends to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Support equipment commissioning and ensure mechanical robustness and maintainability for serial production.
- Drive continuous improvement of mechanical systems, focusing on minimizing breakdowns and enhancing process stability.
- Standardize maintenance processes and documentation for consistent application across equipment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians on complex mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve technical issues, implement improvements, and manage equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation and the metal stamping, bending, and welding industries.
- Knowledge of cam-controlled machines (e.g., Bihler preferred, along with Wafios, Finzer).
Skills
- Proficient in CAD, SPS, HMI-Systems; programming skills are advantageous.
- Quick comprehension, continuous learning, and willingness to work shifts.
