About the Role
The Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) Team Leader plays a pivotal role in the management and operational support of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft. The Team Leader will advise and assist the MOF Commander (MOFC) in daily operations, ensuring all personnel are appropriately qualified and informed about processes and procedures within their responsibilities. This role also involves briefing the MOFC and the Maintenance Squadron Commander (MSC) on aircraft availability issues and producing and analyzing engineering and logistics statistics to enhance aircraft availability at the Main Operating Base and during Deployed Operations. As the primary contact between the Integrated Logistics Operations Centre (ILOC) and the MOF, the Team Leader will supervise both RSAF personnel and the company staff, focusing on mentoring and development within the MOF environment.

Job Accountabilities
- Control and supervision of all engineering and maintenance operations personnel within the area of responsibility.
- Serve as Point of Contact (POC) with the ILOC to implement HQ strategy within the maintenance organization.
- Ensure all continuing airworthiness and maintenance operations activities are conducted per current processes and procedures by authorized, qualified, and competent personnel.
- Oversee that all activities are managed under the appropriate delegated authorities.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to RSAF procedures as outlined in the Logistics Management Regulation (LMR).
- Coach, mentor, and provide development support to all RSAF and company personnel under your direction.
- Promote and ensure Health and Safety practices are followed, minimizing unnecessary or uncontrolled risks.
- Maintain and update MOF local procedures and orders for easy reference within the MOF.
- Ensure accurate reporting of aircraft status and manage ETICS and Rob authorizations within the organizational structure, responsible for the personal and career development of subordinates.
- Ensure staff understand and implement Safety Management Systems and Maintenance Error Management Systems effectively.
- Coordinate Engineering & Logistical support for Typhoon aircraft based at Taif or on operations, exercises, or trials.
- Lead the RSAF process of continual improvement, ensuring personnel support this process actively.
- Plan, implement, and monitor maintenance efforts for operational deployments of the Typhoon AGF as directed by the MSC.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the MOFC and implement countermeasures to maintain safety and integrity of the Typhoon Fleet.
- Manage the Plans and Schedules Section according to RSAF 4-7166-1-2 for optimal Daily Flying Programme asset allocation.
- Conduct Counterpart Training of RSAF Maintenance Officers as assigned to the MOF.
- Ensure the day-to-day running of the MOF is effective, with sufficient qualified manpower available for operations.
- Control aircraft movements, ensuring compliance for Quick Reaction Alert (QRA), Operations, and Training Flights, while ensuring timely returns for servicing.
- Compile and present the Daily Maintenance Brief to the MSC and Senior Company Management, accurately conveying Fleet Status.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the MOF Commander regarding Fleet Issues.
- Monitor and adhere to the Fleet Plan concerning Flying Hours and Fatigue Index.
Recruitment
Essential
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent, or have relevant experience supported by recorded applied training.
- Proven leadership ability in a high-tempo aircraft maintenance environment.
- Managerial experience within the aerospace industry, preferably with 3rd and/or 4th Generation military aircraft at the Supervisor level or equivalent.
- Completed a recognized aircraft engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification in aircraft systems.
- Extensive post-qualification experience in military fast jet maintenance support within an operational environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating activities and influencing decision-making.
- Good understanding of company processes, procedures, and industry knowledge.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to act on initiative within job scope.
- Conscientious with meticulous attention to detail.
Desirable
- Understanding of the RSAF LMR.
- Understanding of engineering operations procedures within a Maintenance Operations Control environment.
- Experience in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast country preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
- Previous experience in an Engineering Operations environment.
