Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance, facilities, and technical operations across a large hospitality, F&B, and entertainment venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary maintenance team, including lighting operators, gardeners, plumbers, painters, and general maintenance personnel. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and organisational skills to ensure that all facilities, outdoor areas, landscaping, lighting installations, and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard and remain fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Facilities Management

   • Oversee all general maintenance activities across buildings, restaurants, public areas, walkways, gardens, and operational facilities.
   • Ensure all structures, fixtures, fittings, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
   • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
   • Coordinate reactive maintenance and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
   • Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential safety concerns.

2. Team Management & Supervision

   • Manage and supervise a multidisciplinary maintenance team, including:
     • Lighting Operators
     • Gardeners and Landscaping Staff
     • Plumbers
     • Painters
     • General Maintenance Technicians
   • Allocate daily tasks and responsibilities according to operational priorities.
   • Monitor team performance, attendance, productivity, and quality of work.
   • Ensure all team members follow safety procedures and maintenance standards.
   • Coordinate external contractors and specialist service providers when required.

3. Lighting & Technical Operations

   • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of decorative lighting, landscape lighting, façade lighting, and general venue lighting.
   • Ensure all lighting installations are operational and visually consistent.
   • Coordinate with lighting operators to resolve technical issues.
   • Ensure electrical maintenance is carried out by appropriately qualified technicians.

4. Landscaping & Outdoor Maintenance

   • Supervise gardeners responsible for maintaining gardens, trees, plants, lawns, and landscaped areas.
   • Ensure outdoor spaces, pathways, and public areas remain clean and well presented.
   • Oversee irrigation systems and ensure proper maintenance.
   • Maintain high presentation standards across all outdoor spaces.

5. Plumbing, Painting & General Repairs

   • Oversee plumbing maintenance, including water supply, drainage, restrooms, and kitchen facilities.
   • Coordinate painting, touch-ups, repairs, and general refurbishment requirements.
   • Ensure maintenance issues are addressed efficiently.
   • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality throughout the premises.

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

   • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety regulations and site procedures.
   • Conduct routine inspections and address potential hazards.
   • Ensure maintenance equipment, tools, and materials are stored and used safely.
   • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
   • Ensure maintenance work is completed with minimal disruption to daily operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance management, or a similar supervisory role in a hotel, theme park, or event venue.
• Previous experience managing a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, entertainment venues, theme parks, or large commercial developments is highly preferred.
• Good technical knowledge of lighting systems, plumbing, landscaping, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Experience developing preventative maintenance plans and managing daily maintenance schedules.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and contractor management skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
