Role Purpose:
To handle API and Middleware development to deliver high quality, high performance, innovative, fit-for-purpose systems that meet business requirements in alignment with the business strategy.
Key Accountabilities:

API & Middleware Architecture:
- Establish an API-centric environment by creating new API interfaces or enhancing existing APIs.
- Support API usage across diverse data environments, utilizing IBM APPConnect middleware solutions.
- Experience with various integration techniques, patterns, tools, and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain architecture and integration documentation.
- Collaborate with end users to provide exceptional customer service.

Solutions Design:
- Define innovative solutions to meet business requirements and promote industry best practices for integration architecture.
- Monitor and recommend improvements for system reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.

Development Activities:
- Develop innovative solutions and execute changes for system performance improvement.
- Implement approved ideas on time and within budget, ensuring quality assurance before release.
- Engage in full development life cycle activities including code development, testing, and troubleshooting.

Project Management:
- Ensure project planning, organization, documentation, and execution meet operational standards.
- Monitor existing processes and recommend enhancements for IT projects.
- Develop and maintain methodologies, approaches, and documentation to support IT programs.
Skills Required:
- Experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise and various integration products (IIB, WMB, MQ, ESB).
- Proficiency in web services (SOAP and REST), XML, JSON, and SQL.
- Strong Java, ESQL, and SQL skills with familiarity in web application development.
- Knowledge of data transmission protocols (HTTP/S, SSL, TLS) and experience in Spring Boot REST service implementation.
- Strong communication skills with experience in full lifecycle development and technical architecture.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
