Position

As a Manager – BI Engineer, you will serve as the Run-the-Bank Lead for all Retail Banking Group (RBG) BI dashboards. Your responsibilities include ensuring the quality, timely refresh, and availability of dashboards for business consumption. Beyond your operational role, you will also take on a coaching and enablement function, guiding other BI developers on the latest capabilities in Power BI and AI. You will champion best practices, drive adoption of advanced features, and help elevate the overall maturity of BI delivery within the organization. This strategic role aims to strengthen our BI capabilities and ensure continued excellence in data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable dashboards, reports, and data models using tools like Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
  • Ensure timely delivery of BI products that meet business requirements and performance standards.
  • Build and maintain robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources including Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability across BI platforms.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for BI systems, including debugging data issues and performance tuning.
  • Maintain high system uptime and responsiveness through proactive monitoring and optimization.
  • Make strategic decisions on BI architecture, tool selection, and environment setup (DEV, UAT, PROD).
  • Manage upgrades, configurations, and security rules to ensure compliance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Communicate insights and technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce data validation, governance standards, and documentation practices.
  • Ensure BI solutions adhere to organizational data quality and security policies.

Required Skills

  • 5–7 years of experience in software and BI development.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in BI product development, dashboarding, and data modeling.
  • Strong understanding of BI architecture and integration strategies.
  • Expertise in ETL processes and data integration from diverse sources.
  • Proficiency in one or more BI tools: Power BI, Qlik, Tableau.
  • Experience in server management, user directory connectors, and security rule configuration.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects and phases.
  • Confident decision-making with the ability to explain technical choices.
  • Deep interest in data, metrics, and business analysis.
