Department Overview
Oxagon, a region of NEOM, is being developed as a leading zone for advanced and clean industries, built on renewable energy. It will house efficient, sustainable automated ports integrated with logistics and a Research and Innovation district designed to accelerate lab-to-market initiatives. The development aims to support Saudi Arabia’s vision of diversifying the economy towards a knowledge-based framework.
Role Overview
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy to support the Group Strategy & Business Development function and other teams within Oxagon.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
- Implement advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and statistical analysis, to optimize business processes and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with various departments to align data analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Lead the development of data models, dashboards, and reports to support strategic initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create PowerBI dashboards to visualize vital data points such as utility requirements, job creation, and GDP contribution.
- Ensure effective use of data analytics to enhance investment attraction and retention strategies.
Project Management & Execution
- Lead key data analytics projects, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s strategic objectives and successful completion.
- Develop analytics-driven initiatives to support the growth of the Manufacturing Sector.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including potential investors and government entities, to support data analytics efforts.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, ideally within a large organization or consultancy.
- Strong understanding of advanced analytics techniques and proficiency in analytics tools such as Python, Tableau, and PowerBI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on driving data-driven decision-making.
- Proven experience in project management and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or a similar role.
Main Stakeholders
- Internal stakeholders include the Manufacturing Investor Attraction teams, Research & Innovation teams, Advanced & Clean Manufacturing teams, and various NEOM departments.
- External stakeholders encompass national and multinational company executives, government entities, and other potential business partners.
