Manager Data Engineering

As a Manager in Data Engineering, you will manage and execute data engineering projects and tasks, ensuring they meet project objectives. Your role will involve collaboration with other teams to gather and understand data requirements, as well as developing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure data quality and security. You will provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed and contribute to the data engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Additionally, you will monitor and optimize data processes for performance and efficiency and assist in the evaluation and implementation of new data technologies. Promoting collaboration, learning, and best practices within the team is also a key responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience in data engineering
• Proficiencies in data engineering tools and technologies
• A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology

Other Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Hortonworks Certified Data Engineer, are a plus
