Position

As part of our Cyber Technology Consulting team, you will lead and manage data privacy and protection engagements for clients across the MENA region. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams within Advisory services. You will be responsible for designing and implementing privacy frameworks, driving data protection strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding privacy by design.

Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead privacy and data protection programs including privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
  • Advise clients on compliance with privacy laws and standards such as GDPR, UAE Federal Decree Law No. 45, DIFC DP Law, and more.
  • Design and implement privacy governance frameworks, policies, and operating models.
  • Provide guidance on Privacy by Design, Data Classification, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and third-party data risk management.
  • Oversee privacy audits and readiness assessments.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and information security teams.
  • Deliver training sessions on data privacy principles.
  • Manage privacy risks associated with third-party vendors.
  • Support breach notification processes and incident response.
  • Stay updated on evolving data privacy regulations.
  • Manage client relationships and project delivery.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Deep understanding of data protection regulations and emerging legislative requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy risk management and data lifecycle management.
  • Ability to translate regulatory obligations into actionable controls and policies.
  • Familiarity with data protection technologies.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in information technology, cyber security, or related field.
  • 2-8 years of experience in Data Privacy and Protection.
  • A valid passport for travel.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPSE, or ISO 27701 are desirable.
  • Experience with privacy technology platforms and sector-specific data protection requirements is a plus.

Language Requirements: Excellent communication skills in English.
