Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of architects and designers, providing direction, mentorship, and technical guidance.
- Oversee the development of design concepts, plans, and specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, consultants, and external stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver integrated design solutions.
- Manage the full design lifecycle from concept development through project completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Review and approve design proposals, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project goals and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to support efficient project execution.
- Stay informed about emerging design trends, technologies, and industry innovations, incorporating best practices where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, design codes, and company standards.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, continuous improvement, and professional development within the design team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in design management, preferably within large-scale mixed-use, hospitality, entertainment, or real estate developments.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and environmental best practices is highly desirable.
