Key Responsibilities:
- Lead governance oversight and thematic reviews across digital onboarding, payments, customer journeys, digital product features, and change initiatives.
- Design and continuously improve governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines for digital banking.
- Assess new digital products and customer journeys to ensure appropriate controls are in place before launch.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting digital banking, fintech, and consumer protection.
- Translate regulatory and internal policy requirements into governance controls, business requirements, and actions.
- Conduct control testing, assurance reviews, and root-cause analysis of governance issues.
- Identify control gaps, document findings, and track remediation actions.
- Prepare governance reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Coordinate governance committees, including preparing agendas and meeting materials.
- Promote governance culture by advising stakeholders on control expectations and regulatory obligations.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in governance, regulatory compliance, control oversight, operational risk, or related banking functions.
- Strong experience within UAE banking or financial services environments.
- Proven background in governance frameworks and compliance testing.
- Experience in digital banking, including onboarding, payments, and consumer protection controls.
- Familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulations and AML/CFT requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
