Position

The role holder is responsible for acting as the liaison for stakeholder needs from the EBU Fixed team, prioritizing and managing the tribe’s backlog to ensure alignment with customer value propositions and strategic objectives. The role also involves overseeing the delivery of increments of value, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and leading the implementation of Agile and DevOps practices to optimize product development and performance. The role holder shall carry out their duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison for stakeholder needs from the respective EBU Fixed team, prioritizing these needs in the tribe’s backlog.
  • Oversee the delivery of tribe backlog until completion, ensuring that increments of value are delivered by squads and knowledge is disseminated through the tribe.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to iteratively refine requirements to ensure the development efforts align with the customer value proposition.
  • Regularly review and prioritize incoming demands in the tribe’s backlog, determining the necessary involvement from enterprise architecture (TS&A).
  • Oversee staffing of the tribe and make decisions to reconcile staffing of local chapter members and business delivery (squads) priorities.
  • Analyze demands across squads, assess skills and availability of the Tribe Alliance chapter members, and make informed decisions on their allocation to squads.
  • Ensure consistent utilization of Agile tools (e.g., JIRA) to manage the Agile workflow, ensuring backlogs and sprints reflect current priorities and information.
  • Facilitate execution of Agile ceremonies, ensuring continuous progress toward product deployment.
  • Direct enforcement of code quality standards and conduct regular code reviews to maintain high-quality software builds.
  • Lead implementation of rigorous testing frameworks and validation protocols, including automated testing, to ensure the quality and performance of products.
  • Lead implementation of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline, to streamline and accelerate product development, testing, and deployment cycle.
  • Proactively communicate with all impacted areas about upcoming changes, facilitating discussions to address any cross-tribe dependencies.
  • Supervise creation of a robust rollback strategy for deployments to quickly rectify any unsuccessful releases.
  • Ensure collaboration with Solution Architects in interactive workshops to explore and iterate on solution designs.
  • Lead the creation and subsequently own the 1-year roadmap of allocated products and its delivery, aligned to overall technology architecture.
  • Actively engage in the tribe's Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, including reviewing achievement of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Be accountable for L3 level incident resolution for production environment and support for L4 level incident resolution in cooperation with SE&A.
  • Collaborate closely with TS&A on all relevant matters and ensure alignment on solution design.
  • Provide continuous forecasting of delivery timelines using Agile metrics, keeping all relevant units informed of progress.
  • Manage and control tribe’s relevant financial activities (spending plans, execution, and reporting).
  • Support creation and maintenance of just-enough documentation that reflects the current understanding of requirements and design, in line with Agile principles.
  • Establish, analyze, and monitor metrics to measure performance of products and squads.
  • Explore and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance capabilities and improve efficiency within the tribe.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 - 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing Agile product development and backlog prioritization, preferably within telecommunications or technology industry.
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Additional Education Certifications.
