Role Summary/Responsibilities
- Understand customer/business needs and drive desired outcomes through strategy creation in collaboration with product, design, and data teams.
- Lead and inspire a talented group of engineers to self-organize, innovate, implement, deploy, and own end-to-end complex software solutions.
- Develop and grow engineering talent through effective mentoring, coaching, and retention strategies in a competitive environment.
- Guide your team in the creation of software solutions for end-to-end business problems, ensuring value delivery while considering non-functional requirements.
- Oversee discovery, planning, and execution to deliver value to customers in small batches.
What you need to be successful
Relevant experience includes:
- 6+ years in software engineering, preferably in an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming).
- Good understanding of lean/agile principles and practices.
- 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience.
- Experience building and leading cross-functional, self-organized teams of multidisciplinary engineers.
- Strong stakeholder and dependency management via proactive communication.
- Background in Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, RESTful Services).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
