About the Role
As a critical support to the Director of Finance, you will analyze and monitor key business metrics while partnering with assigned business units (BUs) through consistent engagement and business reviews. This role involves aiding in the annual business planning process, overseeing working capital and risk management, and spearheading special corporate and BU initiatives, including Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects. You will serve as the lead finance partner to Corporate Information Systems (IS).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Finance in performance management of assigned businesses through the analysis and monitoring of key business performance metrics. Participate in business reviews to evaluate performance.
- Actively engage in the development of the 3-Year Strategy Statement and Annual Operating Plans for Corporate Operating Heads and assigned BUs, driving a regular agenda of variance analysis.
- Collaborate with BUs to optimize the utilization of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and dashboards, enhancing performance monitoring and business analytics.
- Ensure financial discipline by managing working capital and enforcing strict credit control measures.
- Support special Corporate/BU initiatives such as BI, Costing Forum, and Centralizing Credit Control.
- Monitor capital expenditure and provide support for new CapEx and Greenfield projects, as well as M&A and restructuring initiatives.
- Critically examine and enhance existing systems, workflows, procedures, policies, and controls.
- Monitor compliance with Group policies and processes, including Delegation of Authority (DOA), Accounting Manual, and other Finance Guidelines.
- Track internal audit observations regarding compliance and governance, ensuring timely implementation of agreed-upon action plans.

Work Experience Requirement
- 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in medium to large-sized Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) businesses with multiple products and locations.
Qualification
- Chartered Accountant.
- An MBA with a specialization in Finance from a reputable business school is an added advantage.
