This role sits within Compliance Analytics in Global Risk & Compliance, supporting the prevention and mitigation of financial crime and regulatory compliance risks across MENAT. You will represent Compliance Analytics across Transaction Monitoring Analytics and Screening Analytics, focusing primarily on Transaction Monitoring Analytics. The position involves hands-on analytics delivery and stakeholder engagement with regional, local, and global teams while leveraging global resources and a small regional capability for bespoke needs.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting model risk management for Compliance Models used in the region, ensuring they remain fit-for-purpose with clear governance and performance oversight. Success will be defined by delivering high-quality analytics and management indicators on agreed timelines, while enhancing data quality, model performance, and control standards. Additionally, you’ll assist regional teams in navigating regulatory expectations through clear documentation and effective risk communication.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop subject matter expertise in the design, development, and maintenance of compliance analytics and models used across the region.
- Deliver analytics work, including data quality analysis, trend analysis, segmentation, and parameter setting for Transaction Monitoring.
- Execute data implementation checks and quality assurance to support reliable model deployment and outcomes.
- Create statistical models and data attestation frameworks to strengthen model oversight and evidence-based decisions.
- Build dashboards and management indicators using visualization techniques to support risk-based decisions by Compliance and the Business.
- Partner with regional business, risk, and compliance leaders to document, communicate, and manage impacts of model risks and issues.
- Coordinate with IT, Product Management, and Transformation to support model development, implementation, and resolution of model-related issues.
- Support three lines of defense reviews and regulator engagements to explain compliance models used in the region when required.
What We're Looking For
- A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. Valid attestations and equivalency are also mandatory for degrees obtained outside the UAE.
- 1-2 years of experience in the application of statistical concepts and/or machine learning models to solve complex business problems in a regulated or risk-focused context.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL or HQL to build, test, and maintain analytics solutions with accuracy and quality.
- Ability to interpret data using established statistical techniques and translate findings into clear insights and actions.
- Experience producing high-quality analysis under agreed timelines while managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Strong communication skills to present quantitative topics clearly in writing, in presentations, and in discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Capability to partner effectively with stakeholders across functions and geographies to deliver outcomes through global and regional capabilities.
- Ability to apply sound judgment and structured problem-solving to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
- Experience in Transaction Monitoring or AML Analytics is preferred but not mandatory.
