Position

The purpose of this role is to plan and undertake investigations into allegations of fraud of varying nature and complexity. You will maintain quality and efficiency standards of investigations in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Fraud & Intelligence (F&I) Division, aiming to reduce fraud losses by investigating effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct formal interviews with suspects and witnesses, taking statements in accordance with the laid down guidelines of the F&I Division.
  • Reduce fraud losses by ensuring timely action on cases where funds may be going to fraudsters, and liaise with various teams for fund recall.
  • Report fraud cases in conformity with Central Bank UAE guidelines through its online portal, while monitoring for updates and appropriate actions.
  • Assist investigation managers in identifying control weaknesses and implementing solutions for future improvements.
  • Maintain a high standard of records for each investigation and prepare necessary paperwork for internal and external investigations.
  • Publish all Management Information System (MIS) related to F&I accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other control functions for investigations and develop contacts relevant to the F&I division's purpose.
  • Communicate sensitively and effectively using plain language to handle fraud report notifications.

Requirements

  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification is required.
  • Demonstrated fraud investigation skills with at least 4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Auditing, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Excellent interviewing skills and report writing abilities.
  • Ability to handle pressure and tough situations while demonstrating multi-disciplinary capabilities (analytical, qualitative, and quantitative).
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative in workplace tasks.
