About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Director to join our Accounting and Reporting Consulting (ARC) team based in Dubai, Middle East. In this role, you will work closely with clients to provide high-quality accounting advisory services while maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Participate in business development activities and contribute to proposal development.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Oversee project management activities.
- Provide technical accounting advice on complex issues and conduct research on accounting topics, preparing technical memos as required.
- Assist clients with the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Support clients in financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements.
- Review and analyze client financial information, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Supervise and mentor team members, fostering professional development.
- Stay informed about developments in accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Apply independent and objective professional judgment in meeting engagement expectations, including regulatory requirements.
Requirements
We are looking for passionate accounting professionals who can provide expert accounting and reporting consulting to clients, including support on technical and special matters such as GAAP Conversion, accounting policy support, end-to-end new accounting standard implementation, and Disclosure support for IFRS/USGAAP/Ind AS. This role offers the opportunity to work with top global clients across a diverse range of markets and industry sectors.
- Strong domain expertise, project management experience, business development acumen, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of accounting concepts; ability to stay informed of professional standards and apply this knowledge to complex client situations.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice as necessary.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines and cope with tough client conditions that may require extended hours.
- Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to lead by example.
Qualifications
- Qualified CAs or CPAs/ACCAs with experience in technical accounting or financial reporting.
- 7-9 years of relevant experience.
