Job Specific Accountabilities:
- Supervise the development and implementation of an employee communications strategy that aligns with relevant business/program KPIs, providing clear and consistent messaging, influencing employee behavior, and ensuring two-way communication.
- Leverage expertise and leading best practices to create new communication programs or approaches tailored to unique employee, platform, or business needs.
- Measure communication strategies and tactics for key audience segments using established qualitative and quantitative methodologies, while implementing new methodologies as needed.
- Provide internal communications counsel and coaching to business partners, leaders, and management, enabling them to build effective internal communication action plans.
- Support the internal positioning of the Group CEO, developing and implementing an ongoing strategic plan and calendar for CEO internal communications and engagements.
- Oversee multiple employee communication channels to support organizational activities, internal strategic initiatives, and projects. Ensure consistency, timeliness, transparency, and effectiveness of internal communications throughout the group.
- Support the development of Intranet structure, core content, and processes to align with internal communications objectives; track usage trends and user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist the VP in developing a network of internal communications practitioners across the organization, coordinating activities to deliver integrated and coherent communications plans. Professionalize and upskill the internal communications function, providing strategic counsel to internal communicators.
- Develop communication strategies to support change initiatives, and execute internal campaigns as needed to facilitate strategic changes.
- Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with business and corporate functional leaders to become a trusted partner in internal communication issues.
- Support the VP in ensuring timely and accurate preparation of functional reports that meet policies and standards.
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in progressive and senior-level roles within corporate communications; ideally within a large-scale organization that has complex and multi-sectorial operations or varied industry experience. Minimum 3 years in a managerial/supervisory position.
- Understanding of internal communications' strategic role in facilitating positive transformational change and achieving business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of communication and influencing techniques, capable of engaging with a diverse range of functions and organizational levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the latest internal communications and employee engagement tools, techniques, and practices to enhance internal communication efforts continually.
- Competence in conducting and analyzing employee engagement and communication metrics to identify root causes and develop actionable plans.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
