Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Oversee all phases of landscape projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise landscape staff, fostering a team-oriented culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support to team members.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Prepare and present project proposals and updates, actively soliciting client feedback.
  • Conduct detailed site evaluations to assess soil conditions, plant health, and landscape design requirements.
  • Implement corrective measures as necessary to enhance landscape quality and sustainability.
  • Promote and integrate sustainable practices in all landscape operations, including water conservation, soil health, and native plant usage.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and innovations in sustainable landscaping.
  • Monitor project expenditures and manage financial performance against budget forecasts.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service delivery.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for landscape installations and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of projects and maintenance activities, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Ensure all landscaping operations adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Implement safety training programs and maintain a culture of safety within the team.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment for projects.
  • Ensure departmental growth is achieved to meet goals and targets in line with company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
