Position

We are looking for a Privacy Expert to guide the company Retail in meeting evolving data protection requirements across all markets. You will advise teams on handling personal data responsibly and ensure compliance through the right processes and tools. A key focus of the role is identifying data-collection touchpoints and mapping how personal data flows through our systems. Your expertise will help protect customer and employee information and uphold our privacy standards.

Location: Dubai

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and the ability to ensure day-to-day compliance with privacy policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of prescribed privacy controls.
  • Ability to build and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) and create detailed data flow maps using data-mapping tools.
  • Experience evaluating third-party vendors in partnership with Legal, Procurement, and Risk teams to ensure adherence to data protection requirements.
  • Strong capability to monitor, assess, and resolve data privacy issues by collaborating closely with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with consent management processes, including customer preference tools and lawful bases for personal data processing.
  • Knowledge of reviewing contracts from a privacy perspective, providing subject-matter input on data protection clauses and controls.
  • Ability to support incident response and breach management, with a focus on monitoring internal controls and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law, Information Security, Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in privacy and data protection, such as CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM.
  • Certification in privacy tools like OneTrust or Securiti.ai (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy within major global organizations, including at least 5 years in a Privacy Program or Privacy Office.
  • Strong understanding of data requirements and business objectives, with the ability to translate them into practical privacy solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders across business and IT.
