Location: Dubai
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and the ability to ensure day-to-day compliance with privacy policies, standards, and procedures.
- Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of prescribed privacy controls.
- Ability to build and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) and create detailed data flow maps using data-mapping tools.
- Experience evaluating third-party vendors in partnership with Legal, Procurement, and Risk teams to ensure adherence to data protection requirements.
- Strong capability to monitor, assess, and resolve data privacy issues by collaborating closely with business and IT stakeholders.
- Familiarity with consent management processes, including customer preference tools and lawful bases for personal data processing.
- Knowledge of reviewing contracts from a privacy perspective, providing subject-matter input on data protection clauses and controls.
- Ability to support incident response and breach management, with a focus on monitoring internal controls and driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law, Information Security, Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in privacy and data protection, such as CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM.
- Certification in privacy tools like OneTrust or Securiti.ai (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy within major global organizations, including at least 5 years in a Privacy Program or Privacy Office.
- Strong understanding of data requirements and business objectives, with the ability to translate them into practical privacy solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders across business and IT.
