Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the Category sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with management directives.
  • Lead and negotiate tenders (RFP/RFQ) to ensure successful completion and value for money while adhering to budget targets.
  • Track RFPs and RFQs against agreed timelines and optimize sourcing activity timelines.
  • Manage category management and commercial contracts primarily within Outsourced Managed Services and General Corporate procurement categories.
  • Provide necessary information to internal auditors for audit activities.
  • Organize and lead periodic meetings with internal stakeholders to agree on category sourcing requirements.
  • Report savings and validate monthly ERP reports to ensure individual targets are met.
  • Assess supplier performance and prepare reports for management.
  • Provide weekly reports on RFP progress, category spend, savings, and performance against KPIs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal customers to improve satisfaction through feedback surveys.
  • Address legal and contractual matters promptly and efficiently.
  • Educate internal customers on procurement policy amendments and ensure timely proposal acquisition from vendors.
  • Review standard, blanket, consignment, and contract purchase orders (POs) to ensure data integrity.
  • Deliver category management services, including strategic sourcing, risk management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost improvement.
  • Analyze supply base and market conditions to determine appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and implement cost savings/value creation projects across professional service categories.
  • Structure, negotiate, and manage service and supply agreements, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Engage and collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and other internal teams to align on business objectives and project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, ethical practices, and relevant laws.
  • Participate in internal audits by furnishing necessary information.
  • Track RFPs and RFQs against timelines and optimize sourcing activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Procurement-related certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of procurement and sourcing experience.
  • Experience in telecommunications is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial elements and pricing structures in supplier contracts.
  • Understanding of contract laws and corporate terms and conditions.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems, processes, and procedures, as well as category management in IT and Network services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and good knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven skills in contract negotiation, management, and customer service.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects and competing timelines.
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and communicate insights clearly.
