The Systems Integration (SI) Manager's role is to lead/manage design, procurement, installation, testing, and acceptance tasks to deliver SATCOM and Line of Sight (LoS) project requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the design, integration, testing, and installation of satellite ground terminals and associated subsystems, with hands-on experience in RF systems, SATCOM hardware, and systems integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the integration of SATCOM systems including RF chains, modems, baseband equipment, and power systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement end-to-end satellite communication solutions.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of VSAT ground terminals including fixed and vehicular terminals.
- Compile verification, validation, and qualification test plans for SATCOM system performance and manage test campaigns.
- Manage project delivery through detailed scheduling, risk identification, and technical reporting.
- Interface with clients and partners during design reviews and post-installation support.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in satellite communications systems, focusing on ground segment integration and project management.
- Strong knowledge of RF and IP networking principles.
- Proven experience in RF validation and verification testing, including compiling VVQI test plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
Desirable:
- Experience in military or government SATCOM programs.
- Certifications such as GVF, CCNA, or PMP/Prince2.
