Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage testing activities to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of trading systems and components.
- Design, develop, manage, and execute test plans and strategies for automated and manual testing to cover system functionality, performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams and business analysts and/or product owners to understand system requirements and functionalities, ensuring thorough feature test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed reports and feedback to development teams for resolution.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Conduct and coordinate performance, stress, and load testing to ensure trading systems and components meet performance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to financial trading systems.
- Manage the release process, ensuring that all testing activities are completed on schedule and any risks are communicated to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with the role, managing and escalating issues to senior management as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in QA/testing within a financial or trading environment, including significant experience in a lead role.
- Proven track record of leading QA teams in testing high-performance, real-time trading platforms or similar systems with low latency requirements.
- Extensive experience with automated and performance testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Robot Framework, JMeter, Cucumber, and Locust.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of trading principles, financial markets, and transaction processing systems.
- Expertise in test automation, including planning, script development, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify issues and inconsistencies in complex trading systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
