Manager Security Architect

About the Job:
This full-time position is focused on managing security architecture projects and initiatives. The individual will oversee project teams, collaborate with various teams to implement security solutions, and ensure adherence to security standards. Key responsibilities include evaluating and recommending security technologies, assisting in the development of security policies, participating in security assessments, and communicating security-related information to stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves monitoring security incidents and supporting incident response efforts, as well as aiding the training and development of junior staff.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage security architecture projects and initiatives, overseeing project teams.
• Collaborate with teams to implement security solutions, ensuring adherence to security standards.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies, best practices, and risk mitigation approaches.
• Assist in developing and updating security policies and procedures.
• Participate in security assessments and assist with compliance efforts.
• Communicate security-related information to stakeholders.
• Monitor security incidents and support incident response efforts.
• Support the training and development of junior staff.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role in security architecture.
• Proven experience in managing security projects and teams.
• Knowledge of security principles, technologies, and compliance requirements.

Other Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Information Security or a related field is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) or advanced training are a plus.
