Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily SOC operations, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents.
- Manage the configuration and optimization of security tools like SIEM, SOAR, and EDR to improve detection accuracy.
- Lead the investigation and validation of security alerts, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Prepare and present SOC performance reports and threat trend analyses to senior management.
- Evaluate and implement new security technologies and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and UAE national requirements.
- Support audits by providing documentation and insights into SOC processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams for coordinated incident responses.
- Train and mentor SOC analysts to promote continuous growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with industry certifications such as SANS and ITIL Foundation.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a Security Operations Center.
- Strong expertise with SIEM and SOAR technologies.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
- Proven skills in threat detection and response coordination.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Experience with audits and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to enhancing security processes.
- Commitment to continuous learning in cyber threats and best practices.
