We are looking for a Manager Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to build and manage our global SRE team. This team will oversee the management and monitoring of all installed systems, environments, and infrastructure, addressing issues that arise through our notification system.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Hybrid)
Work Conditions:

  • Full-time
  • Hybrid working model: 3 days from the office, 2 days from home
  • Up to 5 weeks “work from anywhere” per year

Job Description:

  • Lead the SRE team, setting objectives and guiding team efforts to achieve high reliability, balancing cost and performance SLAs.
  • Collaborate with platform and product engineering teams to integrate reliability and operational best practices in the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement SRE policies and practices, including service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets.
  • Drive automation across operations to improve system performance and scalability while minimizing repetitive manual work.
  • Oversee incident management, post-mortem analyses, and root cause investigations to enhance system reliability.
  • Facilitate capacity planning and scalability initiatives to effectively manage growth and resource utilization.
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans are comprehensive and tested for business continuity.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members and fostering innovation.
  • Stay updated with trends and technologies in SRE and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is required.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, load balancing, and high availability configurations.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, Python, Go, Java, etc.
  • Experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack); knowledge of Dynatrace is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to manage complex issues under pressure.
  • Outstanding leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
