As a Site Reliability Manager, you will oversee the operations and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. You will lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our services. Your role will require strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Site Reliability Engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement best practices for system reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth service operation.
- Define and track KPIs to monitor system reliability and performance.
- Establish incident response processes and lead timely resolutions for critical incidents.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures.
- Manage and prioritize projects and tasks, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure availability and reliability of external systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and automation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, including team management.
- In-depth knowledge of system architecture, networking, and infrastructure components.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with collaborative experience across teams.
- Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise and related software tools.
- Experience with Oracle Server administration and GIS application tuning.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
