As a Site Reliability Manager, you will oversee the operations and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. You will lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our services. Your role will require strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Site Reliability Engineers, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement best practices for system reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth service operation.
  • Define and track KPIs to monitor system reliability and performance.
  • Establish incident response processes and lead timely resolutions for critical incidents.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures.
  • Manage and prioritize projects and tasks, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure availability and reliability of external systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and automation.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, including team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of system architecture, networking, and infrastructure components.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with collaborative experience across teams.
  • Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise and related software tools.
  • Experience with Oracle Server administration and GIS application tuning.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
