The purpose of this role is to develop solution architecture for one of the airline domains, such as Commercial, Customer, Digital, Cargo, Airport, Engineering, or other enterprise platforms. Working with the assigned Value Stream, the role will ensure that solution designs align with regulatory requirements, architectural standards, business needs, budgets, and IT strategy. This role contributes to our Agile transformation journey by actively working within a Value Stream initiative to deliver cost-effective and high-quality technology solutions.

Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the evaluation and introduction of new technologies that accelerate the delivery of expected business value.
- Provide consultation to the product and project delivery teams within the assigned Value Stream, identifying ways to apply new or existing technologies to support business initiatives and innovation, and facilitating the reuse of ideas, components, services, and proven patterns within the Value Stream.
- Contribute to improving the maturity of the architecture practice by constantly evaluating and making necessary changes to patterns, standards, policies, guardrails, and other enablers.
- Contribute to the development of the business capability model for the Etihad Group and ensure it remains current.
- Responsible for end-to-end and holistic solutions that are aligned with EYG architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Develop solution intents and roadmaps, along with target state architecture and clear transition steps in alignment with the Value Stream roadmap.
- Develop the design and implementation of solution architecture as part of both agile and waterfall delivery, enabling innovation, cost efficiency, strategic alignment, and speed to market.
- Ensure solution and technology architecture standards, governance, and principles are implemented effectively within the Value Streams using the Etihad Well-Architected Framework.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the solutions defined and developed align with the agreed technology roadmaps, business capabilities, and strategy, and are implemented as designed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of work experience in designing enterprise-grade solutions with a proven track record in executing complex IT projects.
- 2+ years of experience in at least one airline domain (PSS, airline and airport operations, cargo, engineering, etc.) is mandatory.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, microservices, and other integration methodologies, ideally in the airline domain.
- Experience in aligning business and IT, contributing to common approaches, and delivering solution architecture supporting both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- One or more certifications in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture is preferred (e.g., Well-Architected Frameworks, SAFe Architect, TOGAF, Open Certified Architect, ISEB Architecture).
- Experience with the architecture of mission-critical, high transaction volume environments.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle using traditional and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
- Ability to work closely and collaborate with other architects, business teams, and project teams.
