Position

The Manager/Core Network Procurement at the company is responsible for implementing strategic sourcing for specific ‘Global Procurement Categories’ to deliver optimal value for both global and local procurement categories. This role involves developing a comprehensive plan in liaison with Budget Holders, Group/OpCos' Procurement, and relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable sourcing practices. The aim is to ensure good performance and quality in purchasing products and/or services while reducing costs that directly impact the bottom line (EBIT).

Responsibilities:

  • Collect historical spend data per category in consultation with OpCos' procurement, Budget Holders, and Finance functions. This includes assessing the forecasted launch of new products/services and adopting new technologies to consolidate demand in a group-wide Master Procurement Plan.
  • Lead the Strategic Sourcing Category Execution and RFx process from preparation to execution, collaborating with Budget Holders and Finance.
  • Enhance cost-saving opportunities by establishing long-term partnerships with strategic vendors and promoting vendor rationalization.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial terms and contractual clauses to ensure compliance and clarity before vendor awards. This includes defining delivery dates, service levels, and legally enforceable scopes of work.
  • Manage major bid tasks for Revenue Contracts to optimize the company's profitability against client discounts and ensure financial exposure is minimized.
  • Oversee Transactional Procurement in accordance with strategic sourcing guidelines, facilitating timely purchase order issuance.
  • Ensure consistent delivery against contract commitments, monitoring vendor performance and managing communications to address contractual deviations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field of Procurement/Supply Chain.
  • 10-12 years of experience in procurement operations at a large multinational telecommunications or technology organization, with at least 4-6 years in a managerial or team lead position (preferably in Civil works/Construction, Mechanical & Electrical Projects, and Fixed Site Infrastructure).
