Position

The SAP Material Data Specialist is responsible for setting and updating the Material Master data across multiple RVS ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), MES, and PLM while driving standardization. This role serves as a focal point among IT and other functional teams to provide material master data.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of material master data and bills of materials while participating in RVS level material master standardization.
  • Implementation of changes (ECN, Engineering Change Notice) and participation in change boards (CRB/CIB), which includes managing old materials and procurement adjustments.
  • Act as key user for SAP and an interface among production, IT, and various departments.
  • Optimize production processes focusing on lean methodologies, efficiency, and quality.
  • Define and maintain RVS master data standards, templates, and data dictionaries across systems to cover master data necessary for the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Own the global Plan for Every Part (PFEP) framework and template, setting standard parameters for every part at each site to ensure reliable MRP execution, capacity planning, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with PLM Principal Engineers to define and maintain strategies and policies for part and material master data across PLM and ERP platforms, ensuring clear system-of-record boundaries and support for various mastering approaches based on product line and go-to-market strategies.
  • Approve changes to master data definitions for standards, reporting, or cross-system integrations, while maintaining a formal change log and impact assessment process.
  • Work with Process Engineers to ensure that process standards and master data templates evolve in tandem; develop and sustain global training materials and documentation for users worldwide and locally.
  • Collaborate with global Master Data Governance and Digital Process Excellence (DPE) teams to define and execute standards across digital tools.
