Position

The MCC Duty Engineer coordinates daily operations and ADHOC troubleshooting to safely and efficiently return aircraft to service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall coordination of technical issues/problems received via phone or radio.
  • Guiding and supporting line maintenance staff to ensure efficient actions for maintaining a safe and serviceable fleet.
  • Monitoring VHF calls for timely and quality communication with crew members.
  • Reviewing appropriate MEL references and issuing MEL control numbers to line engineers.
  • Providing ADHOC troubleshooting support to line engineers and flight crews.
  • Monitoring OEM health tools to proactively identify potential system failures and generating AMOS Work Orders for troubleshooting.
  • Contacting possible maintenance providers for one-off approvals when no contracted maintenance provider is available and maintaining the "One-off Approval" file with up-to-date documents.
  • Ensuring that all work performed aligns with Etihad’s processes and safety standards.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: A high school diploma is required; a university or technical degree with a background in Aircraft Maintenance or a similar engineering field is preferred.
  • Qualifications: ICAO TYPE II License or equivalent, with at least two Etihad aircraft type courses.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of aircraft certifying experience and at least 2 years within a maintenance control environment using aircraft health monitoring tools.
