About the Job:
The MCC Duty Engineer coordinates the daily operations and ad hoc troubleshooting to return the aircraft to service safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include providing detailed reports on daily operations, tracking delays and fleet status, and managing in-flight entertainment (IFE) and connectivity issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all technical issues and problems reported through phone or radio calls.
  • Guide and support line maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations and a safe, serviceable fleet.
  • Monitor VHF calls for timely communication with crews.
  • Review appropriate Minimum Equipment List (MEL) references and issue MEL control numbers to line engineers.
  • Provide ad hoc troubleshooting support to line engineers and flight crews.
  • Use OEM health monitoring tools to identify potential system failures proactively, generating AMOS Work Orders for necessary troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with potential maintenance providers when contracted support is unavailable, ensuring comprehensive management of approvals for aircraft certification.
  • Ensure all work adheres to the company’s processes and safety standards.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: High School diploma required; a university or technical degree in Aircraft Maintenance or a related engineering field is preferred.
  • Qualifications: ICAO TYPE II License or equivalent; completion of at least 2 company aircraft type courses.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in aircraft certifying, including at least 2 years in a maintenance control environment using aircraft health monitoring tools.
