Mechanical Draftsman

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to prepare detailed mechanical drawings and coordinate with various engineering disciplines. This role involves developing layouts and detailed drawings for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant UAE authority requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare mechanical shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop layouts and detailed drawings for mechanical systems, including:
  • HVAC Systems and Equipment Layouts.
  • Chilled Water Piping Systems.
  • AHU, FAHU and FCU Layouts.
  • Ventilation and Exhaust Systems.
  • Smoke Extraction Systems.
  • Ductwork and Pipework Layouts.
  • Pump Room and Mechanical Equipment Layouts.
  • Water Supply and Drainage Systems (as required).
• Review mechanical design drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare sections, elevations, schematics, and installation details.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural, and Architectural disciplines.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and coordination issues.
• Incorporate consultant comments and update drawings accordingly.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, site engineers, and BIM teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant UAE authority requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of mechanical and MEP systems.
• Experience preparing mechanical shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical design drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, ducting, and piping layouts.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, villas, residential, and commercial projects.
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC construction standards and authority requirements is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
