What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform complex design engineering tasks and important engineering work (Concept & Detailed Design) efficiently and accurately, extracting engineering information from CAD drawings.
- Complete all mechanical design works including, but not limited to, tunnel ventilation systems, HVAC, plumbing drawings, pipe sizing, pump head calculations for chilled water systems (primary, secondary, and distribution), condenser water systems, side stream filtration systems, and booster pumps.
- Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, frequently interfacing with other engineering disciplines and departments.
- Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents, providing technical guidance to CAD designers/drafters, designers, and lower-level engineers working on the same project.
- Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses.
- Act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering-related matters.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 15+ years of design work related experience.
- Experience in reviewing third-party designs and coordinating comments for approval.
- Experience working within a multi-discipline team environment.
- Proactive approach to own activities and helping in other disciplines to assist in PMO overall efficiency.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Previous experience working in a PMO.
- Chartered (or similar) status with an industry-recognized engineering body.
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience managing large tasks and/or projects.
