Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical engineering activities on construction and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and technical assessments of mechanical systems, equipment installations, and infrastructure
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and local UAE building codes and regulations
- Review and approve mechanical work, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies in real-time, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and proper installation of mechanical components
- Maintain detailed site records, progress reports, and technical documentation for all mechanical work performed
- Lead and mentor on-site engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring professional standards are maintained
- Participate in project meetings and communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure all mechanical systems are tested, commissioned, and operational before project handover
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent certification recognized in the UAE
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years in site supervision or on-site project management
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, industrial equipment, and construction standards
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and project management tools
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes, safety regulations, and local compliance requirements
- Experience with technical documentation, specifications review, and quality control processes
- Safety certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) preferred
