As a key member of our operations team, you will oversee the maintenance and management of various pumping and pipeline systems. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of sewage, stormwater, and drainage pumping stations, alongside supporting infrastructure through effective management of HDPE pipelines and industrial valves. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our operations and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plumbing & Drainage Pump Stations: Oversee the operation, routine servicing, and repair of sewage, stormwater, and drainage pumping stations, focusing on submersible pumps, lift stations, float switches, and control panels.
- HDPE Pipeline Management: Manage the installation, repair, and modification of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) lines, utilizing electrofusion and butt-fusion welding procedures.
- Valves & Flow Control: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot a variety of heavy-duty industrial valves, including gate, globe, check, pressure-reducing, and motorized control valves.
- Breakdown & Corrective Action: Respond swiftly to equipment malfunctions, diagnose root causes, and coordinate emergency repairs or component replacements.
- Rotating & Static Equipment Care: Maintain heavy-duty industrial assets, such as centrifugal pumps and dewatering pumps.
- Maintenance Planning & CMMS: Schedule and track all work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), while also managing spare parts inventory for critical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience, with a valid UAE driving license.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NFPA standards (especially NFPA 20, 13, and 24) and local plumbing/safety codes.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with HDPE fusion techniques, commercial pump mechanics, and industrial valve servicing.
Additional Information
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Proficiency in reading technical blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics.
- Leadership skills to supervise technicians and contractors, with an ability to communicate cross-functionally and problem-solve under pressure.
