Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate equipment selection, performance curves, hydraulic operating conditions, NPSH, efficiency, power requirements, and operating envelopes.
- Evaluate rotating equipment datasheets, technical specifications, vendor drawings, and performance test procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors during technical bid evaluations and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Inspect rotating equipment and ensure adherence to installation, commissioning, start-up, and maintenance requirements.
- Collaborate with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural engineering disciplines to integrate rotating equipment within projects.
- Analyze vibration, equipment reliability, rotor dynamics, and machinery troubleshooting.
- Assess equipment foundation requirements, dynamic loading, nozzle loads, and piping interface requirements.
- Familiarize and ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, and ISO standards.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering, preferably in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, turbines, and associated auxiliary systems.
- Familiarity with specific API standards (API 610, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 674, API 675, API 682) and ISO 5199 standards related to the equipment.
- Understanding of mechanical seals, bearing systems, lubrication systems, couplings, shaft alignment, and vibration monitoring.
- Experience in evaluating technical bids and coordinating vendor activities.
- Knowledge of installation and maintenance best practices for rotating machinery.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Offshore project experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with equipment condition monitoring systems.
