About the Role
The MEO Product Planning Manager shapes the company’s product portfolio for the Middle East and, as needed, Egypt and North Africa. In partnership with the business, this role recommends which products to offer, their content and pricing, and when to bring them to market. It represents local market needs in AMEO and GMI/Export product decisions, guiding programs from early strategy through handover to Product Marketing. By combining market and competitor insight with cross-functional business cases, the role helps the company identify portfolio opportunities and make timely, evidence-based decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain product strategies and lifecycle plans for assigned segments and markets, recommending portfolio additions, changes, streamlining or exits.
- Monitor competitor launches, pricing, trims, powertrains, content, incentives and distribution, and provide leadership with regular competitive updates.
- Benchmark the company products against key competitors and conduct country- and segment-level portfolio gap analyses to prioritize opportunities by volume and share potential.
- Develop and evaluate counter-positioning options, including content, pricing, trim, timing and new offers, with clear trade-offs and a recommended course of action.
- Partner with Finance, Sales & Distribution and Market Research to develop business cases and test product, price and content choices against customer value, margin and volume potential.
- Represent market needs to GMI/Export, Homeroom, Joint Venture and AMEO teams, and prepare and advance studies, change requests and Notices of Decision through the appropriate forums.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing, Sales & Distribution, Quality and Homeroom/JV teams to keep launches on track, raise readiness risks early and resolve issues that could delay decisions or market delivery.
