The Functional Test Lead is responsible for driving and validating functional and integration testing activities for PSS. This role involves developing and executing formal functional test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Involvement in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, executing functional tests, and analyzing test results.
- Designing, implementing, and supporting functional testing systems and strategies to prevent application errors under changing user loads.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for all functional testing services with a focus on modernizing testing approaches.
- Overseeing defect management processes and providing regular updates to management on project status.
- Collaborating closely with the development team to ensure quality outcomes and timely execution of QA checklists.
Accountabilities:
- Actively engaged in various phases of requirement capturing, planning, and designing test scripts.
- Proactively identifying and reporting bugs alongside the development team and Systems Integrator (SI).
- Ensuring product functionality meets required standards through functional, integration, and regression testing as per specifications.
- Providing hands-on guidance for implementing change management best practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
- Airlines domain experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology and knowledge of SAFE, Agile, and DevOps methodologies is desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in functional testing with knowledge of Amadeus products.
