Position

The role holder is responsible for leading and overseeing Mission-Critical device management activities across Specialized, ensuring effective lifecycle management of devices from procurement and testing through deployment, maintenance, and retirement. The role focuses on ensuring device quality, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, vendor performance, and inventory optimization to support uninterrupted service delivery and business objectives. The role holder shall carry out their duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Key Functional Accountability

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of Mission-Critical devices, including procurement, testing, deployment, maintenance, replacement, and retirement.
  • Establish and oversee device management processes to ensure compliance with required certifications, technical specifications, and operational standards.
  • Oversee bulk procurement, testing, distribution, and deployment activities to ensure timely availability of devices for beneficiaries.
  • Direct device fault management activities, ensuring timely identification, reporting, replacement, and resolution of device-related issues to minimize operational disruption.
  • Establish and monitor quality standards for device repair and maintenance activities performed by external service providers and repair workshops.
  • Lead coordination with Lab & Testing teams to evaluate device capabilities, monitor technology updates, and support demand forecasting activities.
  • Ensure effective inventory planning and lifecycle tracking of Mission-Critical devices to maintain operational readiness and asset visibility.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to define vendor evaluation criteria and oversee vendor selection activities to ensure sourcing of compliant and reliable devices.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure delivered devices meet approved specifications, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Review device performance trends and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous enhancement of device management practices.
  • Provide management with recommendations related to device strategy, lifecycle optimization, vendor performance, and operational risks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree; Master’s degree is most preferred.
  • Preferred Education Field: Information Technology, System Engineering, or a related field.
