The successful candidate will take ownership of the platform from a technical perspective, guide engineering standards and architecture implementation, and remain actively involved in development, troubleshooting, and delivery. The role requires someone comfortable operating in a complex enterprise environment, working across engineering, architecture, security, cloud, and product teams while maintaining a strong focus on quality, scalability, and secure software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobile Engineering & Technical Delivery: Lead the technical delivery of enterprise mobile applications across iOS and Android. Remain hands-on with development and support engineers in complex challenges.
- Platform Ownership & Transition: Coordinate technical handovers and transitions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and operational readiness.
- Backend, APIs & Integration: Oversee integrations between mobile applications and supporting backend services, ensuring reliable communication and resolving technical bottlenecks.
- Cloud, DevOps & Engineering Excellence: Support cloud-based application environments (Azure and/or AWS) and drive CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Security & Quality: Implement secure authentication patterns and ensure alignment with secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide mentoring to engineers, establish engineering standards, and coordinate releases and priorities in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in a Technical Lead or similar capacity.
- Strong experience with enterprise-scale mobile applications and hands-on knowledge of Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
- Experience with Java/Spring Boot or similar backend technologies, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, deployment automation, and experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
- Familiarity with application security practices and automated testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong professional English communication skills.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is essential.
