Responsibilities
- Build applications that excel in throughput, latency, and resiliency while ensuring we deliver on time and within budget.
- Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for mobile experiences within the organization.
- Lead the architectural design and evolution of web experiences to support growth and innovation goals.
- Foster the development of engineering team skillsets, providing continuous support that encourages productivity and execution of the defined vision.
- Maintain hands-on involvement in software development and set best practices to ensure high standards of quality.
- Mentor and guide the development team in implementing complex mobile UI concepts and efficient coding techniques.
- Craft robust, scalable, and flexible mobile application architectures that support business needs while accommodating future growth.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance the organization’s data capabilities, leading the adoption of cutting-edge mobile UI technologies.
- Collaborate with product owners, data specialists, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Ensure data systems are optimized for performance and scalability by conducting code reviews, system simulations, and performance testing.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in mobile UI development, with 5+ years of commercial-grade React Native development experience. Experience with other hybrid mobile frameworks is a plus.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Proficiency in interacting with various types of API formats, preferably REST and GraphQL; additional skills with Websockets, SSE, RPC are desired.
- Ability to contribute to the design process from requirements gathering to project ideation.
- Understanding of user behavior and the ability to tailor web experiences to meet user needs.
- Experience working with designers and other partners for design and wireframing, with a focus on delivering high-quality implementations.
- Knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills along with demonstrable team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of and strong interest in global financial markets and financial products is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent work experience.
