About the Role
The company MOCC Lead Engineer will lead and develop the newly created company MOCC Department. He/She will manage the department by monitoring and reducing aircraft technical delays and groundings to improve the technical dispatch reliability of the company Commercial Fleet. The goal is to achieve 100% on-time departures and enhance the customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the operation of the company MOCC which functions 24/7/365 to ensure continual support.
  • Co-ordinate company MOCC Engineers under his/her control to ensure they perform to their highest level.
  • Check that an accurate and thorough log and handover is always maintained between each shift.
  • Produce and control procedures for the company MOCC to document the requirements and practices for the department.
  • Inform the company Senior Manager CAMO of any aircraft-related defects that will impact the aircraft schedule/operations to ensure that the proposed actions taken are mutually agreed.
  • Manage the reliability of the company Fleet by monitoring repetitive defects with the intent to improve reliability by establishing and eliminating the cause.
  • Work in conjunction with company CAMO to recommend the adjustment of frequencies of routine tasks to improve reliability and reduce costs of performing maintenance away from the main base.
  • Ensure that information about aircraft technical discrepancies away from base that may impact further operations are disseminated to company IOC, Fleet Management, and company CAMO for their awareness.
  • Co-ordinate support through various contracted and non-contracted Maintenance Repair Organizations (MRO) as required, to support the continued airworthiness of the fleet.
  • Confirm that third-party maintenance performed away from base is continuously monitored and supported by the company MOCC Engineers on duty to ensure schedules are maintained.
  • Check that all work performed by QR145 and third-party MROs complies with the provisions of the company Continued Maintenance Organization Exposition (company CAME).
  • Control company MOCC staff training to ensure company MOCC staff are compliant and up to date with their training requirements.
  • Ensure that the company MOCC Engineers adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Check that the company MOCC Engineers co-ordinate with the company Supply Chain Manager to deliver parts and material required to support the rectification of discrepancies away from base to maintain schedules.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of certifying experience with four years MOCC experience and technical management experience.
  • Must hold type rating preferably on Gulfstream G650ER and/or Bombardier Global BD700 aircraft type.
  • Experience on Gulfstream and/or Bombardier Business Jets.
  • Should be able to work independently and in team environments.
  • Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to train and develop subordinate skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
