About the Role
The company MOCC Lead Engineer will lead and develop the newly created MOCC Department. He/She will manage the department by monitoring and reducing aircraft technical delays and groundings and improving the technical dispatch reliability of the company Commercial Fleet to achieve 100% on-time departures and enhance the customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of the company MOCC which functions 24/7/365 to ensure continual support.
- Coordinate the company MOCC Engineers to ensure they perform at their highest level.
- Maintain an accurate and thorough log and handover between shifts.
- Produce and control procedures for the company MOCC to document the requirements and practices for the department.
- Inform the company Senior Manager CAMO of any aircraft-related defects impacting schedules to ensure mutually agreed actions.
- Manage the reliability of the company Fleet by monitoring repetitive defects and working to establish and eliminate the causes.
- Collaborate with company CAMO to recommend adjustments to frequencies of routine tasks to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs away from base.
- Ensure dissemination of information regarding aircraft technical discrepancies that may impact operations to company IOC, Fleet Management, and company CAMO.
- Coordinate support through various contracted and non-contracted Maintenance Repair Organizations (MRO) as needed for continued fleet airworthiness.
- Monitor and support third-party maintenance performed away from base to ensure schedules are maintained.
- Ensure all work by QR145 and third-party MROs complies with the company Continued Maintenance Organization Exposition (CAME).
- Control company MOCC staff training to ensure compliance and up-to-date requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures by company MOCC Engineers.
- Coordinate with the company Supply Chain Manager to deliver parts and materials required for discrepancy rectification away from base.
- Perform other departmental duties as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of certifying experience with four years of MOCC experience and technical management experience.
- Must hold a type rating, preferably on Gulfstream G650ER and/or Bombardier Global BD700 aircraft types.
- Experience with Gulfstream and/or Bombardier Business Jets.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments.
- Managerial skills to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow; strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to train and develop subordinates' skills and foster teamwork among team members.
